Category Strategy

Before 11Ants we had a set of reports that we were using every day, but they were focused on the category level and not on the customer. We realized that we were focused on transactional data and that we needed some data to make the whole picture of our business for our strategy; and that is the part from the customers, how are they behaving, what are their preferences?

 

As a user, maybe at the beginning I was scared of the data - it was new to me, it was a whole set of new data that I didn't know existed. But as I got into it, a little bit of investigating, trying to see new data...and all the rest is history!

 

Using 11Ants really made me faster, faster thinker, faster decision making. I really started looking for new data that was valid to the customer. That was not only reports that I was using...some new ways of dealing with the everyday situations.

 

It used to be that we needed hours and days to make one report for some specific situation, and now with just one click with 11Ants, we have answers right away. With 11Ants, I think I found new ways, new things, that I didn't even consider before. We didn't have data that was showing how customer is behaving, in or what time of the day, when he's coming, when he's buying different categories, what is he buying when he's buying something product A, or something like that. So a whole a lot of new data that we didn't know how to even mix it, how to make it for our use.

 

When we have, for example, supplier meetings, it can be very useful to have 11Ants on your laptop because you can in just seconds, get straight information about some topic, and some product category, how is the supplier performing, etc.

 

I would say that 11Ants is like a robot that knows everything.  He has all the data, he has all the ideas, all the answers. If we removed 11Ants, my life would definitely be more difficult, I would have to go back to my older ways, that I am not very big fan of. So 11Ants is a huge part of our business and our business strategy.
